The Swim Squad program at CentrePoint Sport and Leisure Centre supports all swimmers to train to their individual potential and maximise their enjoyment of the sport, whether swimming for fun, personal health goals, or a range of competitive swimming and open water activities. Competitive swimming is a challenging and exciting element of swimming, supporting a range of physical, mental and emotional health benefits.
CentrePoint Sport and Leisure Centre partners with a Blayney Dolphins Swim Club to provide high quality swimming training and competition experiences.
Swim Squad Levels:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
Swimmers will be assessed prior to being placed into a Squad group to ensure they are working to a level appropriate to them. All swimmers will be assessed ongoing to move up levels if needed.
GOswim Academy (developmental squads)
The GOswim Academy levels of our GOswim program serve as a transition from learning the foundations in swimming and water safety to participation in competitive swimming squads. GOswim Academy is designed to encourage continued participation in aquatic activity through competitive and recreational/lap swimming.
Swim Squad
The Swim Squad program creates pathways for students to continue their passion for swimming from lessons onwards into adult life, experiencing the thrill and excitement of swimming competitively while improving their swimming technique and skills within a team learning environment.
